If you're not having fun, whats the point...

I've been thinking lately if this course is the right course for me.
I wonder if I am making progress. I am struggling a lot, between things at home hindering my attendance and the work load, I don't know if I can handle it.

I don't understand assignments, there are some that are due that I'm not close to finishing, the computer programs make me cringe and are so daunting because I don't know how to use them. My drawings aren't looking how they are meant to, and nothing seems to be turning out right.

I've got some serious thinking to do over the holidays.

Hey please dont think of giving up!! you are almost half way through!Even if you think that it is not "the thing" for you u its still adding up something in your basket of knowledge without even you being aware of it!!
and i dont know if it helps, but i would really like to see you there in the class everytime, and i'm sure there are many in the class who think the same!
Please don't give up, u never know what opportunities you find where, And this may take you somewhere you have never been! dont close the book like this without exploring! we are all there for you!
I hope i haven't written too much, but it is really heartfelt!

  3. Hi Leah,

Don't give up, persistence is everything, you just have to keep pushing along. It is hard many of times, and life pressures besides school make everything hard and seem impossible, but main thing is to keep taking one small step at a time, and by time you look back you have walked a lot and accomplished a lot even though when you look up close you don't see it because you just see the distance ahead.

Everything you try, even unsuccessful drawings turn into something amazing down the track. Everything in life has purpose, everything makes sense some 10 years from now, maybe 20, everything is there to set you to right path. Even mistakes you make on drawings, will teach you something new, and few months from nw you can turn around hey i did this maybe I can apply it to the painting that I am working on now.

To be honest I hate working on computers, even though I worked in IT for too many years. However it all teaches you something that you can use down the track. If you want to chat email me, just do not give up. Giving up is easy, continuing down the path is what is important. Do not get scared of the mountain of the work ahead, I am sure you can conquer it.
